I've gone through a lot of the older threads about the Kroma. Now that they have been out and in use for a lengthy amount of time, I am curious how everyone feels about them.

The main LED output, based upon Quickbeam's review, seems somewhat anemic (Considerably lower than the A2 for example) yet in the older threads many seemed to rave about the usefulness of the beam even though it is optics based. Is it worth the investment given the utility of the light versus the low output of the main beam?

In my home-made lightbox(which seems pretty darn accurate), I got ~55 lumens out the front on high with my friends Kroma. With that said, my old A2 used to come in around ~75 out the front.

I like the Kroma, it's a bit pricey buy I really like the multi-colors. And having 2-levels of each color is a big plus. Plus you heard right, the beam is one of the best I've seen in a light with an optic, good throw with very usable side-spill.

I really like my Kroma. I have it on me almost every day. It is a bit blue compared to my other lights but I can deal with it. A couple of times I considered selling it because I could use the cash for other light purchases, but every time I bust it out I am impressed. It has the perfect amount of spill for walking and I love using the red before bed (my girlfriend appreciates it too).

Bottom Line: Aside from my turbo head, the Kroma was my best SF purchase. I won't be able to part with this bad boy.
