Just got my hands on a SF KT2 head with its original 9V bulb. I have enough bodies that take the "C/P" heads but have no idea what other bulbs I could use in this head, any ideas of alternatives?

Hi,

Just my little experience, I have 9P+KT2 with 3xIMR16340 + 1185(FM bi-pin base), it is very unusual but funny in this format size.

If you have A19-formed extender, 2x17670 + LF HO-M3T is very useful and throw, nice runtime.

Thanks for that......I can use this on a 2x 18650 Leef, 3x C BigLeef, 2x C FM........so, what do you need to use bulbs like the WA1111 and 1185 in the KT2 head.....does FM make a holder/bi-pin base for this combination? if so, this would be very nice......and does the LF M3T fit the KT head?.......I think I gotta do more homework here.....

Tried to do some research here but I don't think that the "search" function is working, anyone else have problems?.......

Yes. Any bulb made for any SF turbohead should fit in there.
SF
N1
N2-discontinued, but Lighthound shows one in stock
MN15
MN16
MN20
MN21
MN60
MN61
There are a few other specialized or discontinued ones like the N5, N62, perhaps others.

Lumens Factory
HO-M3T
EO-M3T
IMR-M3T
...and whatever the models for the M4 with primaries and M6 with rechargeables or 3xLi-ion are.

Thanks to all with responses, just ordered from FM......look forward to trying out the KT head with WA1185 on 3xC BigLeef body and AW C Li-Ion cells.

There is also a BigLeef Surefire C-series adapter which will fit the KT1 and 2 heads. It's still in stock at the Hound, in both colors.

Gentlemen,........I managed to grab one of the last FM bi-pin adapters just in time.......and yes I have the BigLeef "C" neck adaptor as in the picture in the above post. Looking forward to trying this combination......

But where does one come across the Tail switch for the big leefs? Thats been my biggest hold up for pulling the trigger on a project with it.

Good question, I would not mind one more such a switch as I have a bunch of "C" bodies. I have a feeling that these will be no more.......for someone who is starting out thinking of the BigLeef lego, it is pointless without the switch.

Anyone for imr-m3t (2x17670) with ho-m6r (3x17670) setup side by side.

I want to know which one better in output and runtime. Runtime calculated per cell, if 2x17670 run for 20 minutes and 3x17670 for 30 minutes, considered even. Since they both have the same amount of lumen according to their spec. Beam comparison will be good :twothumbs thanks
