L1D CE Diffuser Idea

Howdy.​

I just got a L1D CE (I think it is great!), and was thinking about light diffusers, when I saw this in one of our kitchen cabinets:

So, I popped the top off, and placed it on my light:​

Does the cap fit snugly?

I used a thin shhet of diffuser sheeting mwnt to diffuse the light form a laptop display.

I cut a circle and it sliped right in...

Bravo......Brilliant idea! I have been carrying a can of that crap in my winter coat for the last 10 years or so. Never used it. The top fits perfect on my P1D CE and it makes it into a perfect mini lantern. :goodjob:

Thanks for all of the responses. It is nice to know that others find this helpful.

LowBat: The cap fits very snug - it is secure (at least on the L1D). I did not have a film canister to try, but got some today from a local photo place. I like the smaller diameter of the de-icer top, but will try a film canister in comparison (the canisters I got today are opaque, whereas the de-icer top is soild white).
