L2D weapon mount

I recently got a shotgun, and part of its role is home defense. I'm wanting to put a light on it, but I don't have much money to spend.

I have an L2D, but I'm having a hell of a time finding a mount that will go onto a picatinny rail. Seems like there's just mounts for the T series.

Do any of you know of a mount that would work for the L2D?

If not, I noticed the E21 has the same 1'' diameter as other lights that have mounts built for them - would it work?

Would this work for the L2D or the E21?

Thanks for the help!

I'm a big fan of the Vicking Tactics VTAC offset mount. It fits 1" lights, and then has an insert to fit E-Series (.8"?) lights.

That would be a great $25 option for you.

I have the VTAC/Surefire L4 (YX2C head) weaponlight in one on my SHTF AR-15, and it has been through multiple carbine classes (very hard use), and THOUSANDS of rounds.

The mount you linked to would not work, as it is for 1" lights (like the G2 or 6P Surefires).

If you have a set of, or even one would work, disused scope rings I have mounted a light onto rails with those and used pieces of innertube wrapped around the light to make it large enough to fit tightly. Not beautiful but it worked well for several years. No longer have it set up or I would try to post a pic.

I'll see if I can find some orphaned scope rings around :)

While we're on the subject, if I did buy a new light, what would be the 'best' 'tactical' type of flashlight to primarily keep mounted on a shotgun?

Light weight, doesn't necessarily need a lot of throw (in fact, OP reflector is probably better), would be great if it had the TK12 style cigar grip ridges since that's how I hold my light with my pistols. AAs would be slightly preferable but I could live with 123s

TK10/11/12? PD30? Not a Fenix?
