Okay guys, I'm a little slow here so someone please bear with me.

L6 = KL6 = 9v LED? As in the digital luminox series that was in the 2002 catalog? Can someone post a photo showing the bulb? What is it? A 5W LED? I get that it is not the "19 head monster" or the KL2. But the L6 does not have a high/low beam like the L4 right? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh.gif

I have a few M3s/M3Ts and an M900 sitting around here and an L6 head might be a fun toy.

On another note. I have an old series M2 (w/o the SI bezel), what should I plug on that sucka to go LED?

Thanks for help.

The "bulb" is a 5W LED like the one in the L4 and L5. The L6 doesn't have a high/low beam and neither does the L4. The only SureFire that hs a high/low beam is the L1, which is a 1W LED. For your M2, you would need the KL5 bezel because the KL6 will only fit the M3, M4, and M6.

I have no clue how the voltages work, so maybe somebody else can answer that for you. However, I'm almost certain that the L6 isn't being run by the full 9 volts. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

Lithead,
Welcome to CPF!
The L6 is the complete light, the KL6 is the head. The L6 is a 5 watt Luxeon LED. The L1 has a high & a low, but neither the L4, L5, nor the L6 have high/low. The L6 will work on your M3/M3T. For the M2, the KL3 one watt or the KL5 five watt will work.

Thanks for the welcome (and the quick reply).

Is it too much to wish for a high/low output from the KL3? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

On second thought probably not b/c it would be a single stage switch huh?

Many here at CPF want high/low option, but we'll have to wait for the powers that be to give us what we want. I EDC a Surefire A2 and I highly recommend it. I have a L1, but I just use it around the house.
