-EDIT- Please see post #6 below.

At the sake of being beat with a wet noodle (ha ha).

Can 1-2 kind member's share with me the consensus on the best charge rate to use with Eneloops? I've read through posts for two hours now and still have no idea.

Welcome, and good luck getting the same answer twice. I would assume you are speaking of AA's. 1000ma charge rate is about average from what I have found. Just be careful because some modes you set the discharge rate, and the charge rate will be twice that.

It depends somewhat on the charger. Since the BC-9009 tends to run a little warm many people like to keep the charging current at 700 mA or below.

Thank's fellas. I read for about and hour more and was about to delete this.

I'm enjoying the education. History my interest developed from the Energizer 15 min. charger decreasing the life and time in between charges so I took the dive into a better charger.

And a world of new knowledge ha ha.

Question #2

To properly "break in" Eneloops on this charger and extend time between charges cycle life which mode do you recommend, why and at which mah?

Refresh or Test

I've read a lot about the test mode but have seen very little discussion about the refresh mode.

My understanding is the difference is test will...

charge / discharge / charge

Refresh will charge / discharge / charge (over and over) until cell's are optimized. I need an education if this put's the cell's through unecessary cycles and or add's real benefit and how.
