Got my ProMag today. If you want and led with throw, this is it!It's quite an unusual beam in that the corona is huge and the hotspot is VERY tight. But if you want to light something up far away, this will do it!I shined it towards the very lit up church parking lot across the street and you could still see the beam in the tree tops about 80 yards away! It's a keeper!(until I get bored and want something new! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

So you are #25 on the list of people to get the ProMag? Number 25 in the series #1 of only 24 lights? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Coach, did you get the original ProMag with the 1150mA output or the series 2 with the 750mA output?

Did you get all the options? Sputter, UCL?

I still have fun with my series #1 light. Perfect craftsmanship! The spill light of the 3 watt Luxeon with the deep dish of the refector in the 2D Gaglite is a wonderful combination. And the spot does have long range.

Stick with the stock 6AA to 2D adapter and don't bother with the troublesome 4AA to D adapter.

Did Lambda ever state that the ProMagnums were 750mA output? I don't remember him stating that it was lowered from the prototype?

I seem to remember Kevin was making a series #2 ProMag and it had a lower output. You might have to do a search...or I might have to do a search. I could be wrong you know.

From the threads, it seems like there was just 2 prototypes of the ProMagnum 700, which he sold. I don't think he made a production run, since no one inquired about them like the original ProMagnum run.

However, in regards to the First Run ProMagnums, wasn't they are set at 1150mA?
