I have a nice M4 sitting around w/o the lamp. The MN60 are almost unobtanium, and Lumens Factory has the M3T (LED) and the incan lamp available. I wish to keep the body/head intact, so Malkoff isn't an option. I will prefer an incan lamp, but am open to considering an LED module too.

Apart from Lumens Factory, are there any other options?

If you have an adapter for bi-pin bulbs, any (6V , 10W) bulb will work with pair of 16650 batteries.

Love my Leef-bodied M4.... and definitely wish I had a bi-pin adapter for it.

So I'm currently running a MN16 with 2X16650's in my M4. Putting this combination against a MN 61 on 4 primaries it blows it away! Am I overdriving the MN16 that much? I expected the MN61 to be much brighter but it's not. Any thoughts?

I don't think the MN16 is going to last very long.

Got an hour or so on it so far. I'm thinking under load 3X123 are 7 volts and 2 lithiums are what 8? I don't think it's over driving to much. I'm just shocked that it out throws a MN 61

Looking at the rough filament dimensions I think they're right in line what you're seeing. The MN16 definitely has a slightly smaller diameter filament coil. The difference isn't huge but it is meaningfully keeping more of the tungsten closer to the focus of the reflector.

According to this, MN16 drawing about 2.5A from 3xCR123A so it's 6.6V bulb.
And MN61 also drawing about 2.5A from 4xCR123A so it's 8.8V bulb.
Each primary CR123A drops to about 2.2V under 2.5 Amps.

I have this one G4 Xenon Bi-Pin Socket from tad. Will that work? But using 2X16650's I don't want a 6V bulb do I?
