Hello All...

I have 12 batteries I took from laptop battery packs. The red ones below measure 4 volts and the pink ones at about 3.8 volts. I didn't save the protection circuit the battery packs had, didn't know about protection circuits at the time. I was wondering if I might be able to use a protection circuit like they have listed on batteryjunction?

pics of the batteries, they say irc18650 on them..

Putting the protection circuit on the batteries will not be easy (shrink-wrapping, cleaning off the weld spots, etc.). I would say just use them as unprotected cells, and as long as you don't overdischarge them and you have a good charger, you should be fine.

Can you recommend a good charger for a good price?

thanks!
