Lasers and the US Customs

Not sure if i can post a possibly sensitive topic here:shrug:

My packaged was opened by the US customs and my invoice and DX 30mw green laser taken. Any comments and advice?

You might want to contact DX and explain, although their website states that customs confiscations are at your risk.

Did you use EMS? That is a sure way to have your laser taken against it's will.

At least you have a nice felt box and a couple Alkaline AAAs.


I wish these manufacturers would simply put a key-lock mechanism, and pre-startup LED on these to comply with the customs regulations.

As for the advise part, besides try try and try again :green: there isn't much you can do. it is the risk of ordering illegal goods. CPF is not the place to discuss other venues, though, so I'll close this thread.
