Lasers that project grids?

Anyone know where I can find them? I do product photography and wanted to see if I could use lasers to align product by projecting a grid on my shooting surface and product

Adjustable grid size would be perfect. Thanks in advance!

A laser projector would do it. You are talking a few dollars though. If you are a do it yourselfer you could build a small monochrom projecotr and DAc with some free software for a few hundred... or dig a big pit like myself and toss in close to 10k... Here is mine doing a test grid.

Sounds like it would be expensive. Not a grid but Saberwolf did something related. Maybe he can custom make you one?

Diffraction gratings that are usually included with the cheap pointers are occasionally of the grid variety. If you buy a bunch of them (like this set for <$5 from ebay), you'll probably find one in there that projects a grid. It is only variable in size by wavelength and/or distance from the target though. It also comes in only a 4x4 square pattern and has a bit of speckle to it:
