Lectro Science? Worth the price? What\'s better?
I have looked around this forum and find an a great response for the "Vector" brand of spotlights. Is this just because of the low pricepoint and relative quality in the short term?
Is the Lectro Science Hotspot just over priced or, is it a better quality light? I'm looking at long term ownership costs not, short term purchase price issues. Is the beam quality there? Does the fixture hold up to scuffs and scrapes in real world usage?
How about the Nitetracker? Is it better then the comparable Vector and other competitors?
If you were going to buy a good spotlight where initial purchase price was not the primary issue, what brands or models would you suggest I look at? I want something that is durable, not overly heavy, and not overly large. It needs to have pretty good reach (throw) but, I do not want a "pencil" beam either as I don't want to be forced into "sweeping" the light to view an area. For an upper price limit, I am thinking about a $100USD unless there is some compelling reason to spend more. Ideally a target price of ~$50USD is preferred.
THANKS!
