Many thanks for the description - the Low Dome would be more preferable for me over the High Dome - but I think I need to see one in real life.
I know what is useful light and coverage may be somewhat subjective -
but I think using the angle of coverage, and equating it to 35mm camera lens coverage might be a way/start to be able to quantify this - perhaps I'll start a new thread on that - and return to add the link here.
