Hey guys! Well I recieved my M7R on friday....Love it! But one concern.... The LED seems off centered... Need your guy's opinion...Does this look normal? This is at about ten feet at full extension...

Not much you can do about it, I returned a Lenser due to the same problem.

Some are worse than others, unless you test them each at the store (if you bought in in a store) there isn't really anyway to get a 'better' one so to speak.

I had the same problem with my P17. Just rotate the head while the light is on and pointed at a nearby wall and that should do it.

I have an M7 and the beam is a bit off the center too but it's tolerable. Throws great right? I have tested it against the Tiablo A9 w/o aspheric, TK 11 R2, TK 12, Lumapower VX w/ turbo head, Solarforce Skyline and VB 16 and it beats them all.

:wave:Any information you can provide on this light is appreciated (i.e., accessories included, beam throw/flood info, quality etc.).

Thanks

Thw M7R came with a carrying case, belt clip, magnetic usb charger w/ mountable stand, usb wall adapter, and a lanyard..... The light overall is excellent... Many different programmable lighting options.... 220 lumens

2 Power consumption modes... constant current and power saver (dimmer light with less charge)
3 lighting modes:
* Easy mode: High and low power (with adjustable dim)
* Pro Mode: High/Low (w/ adjustable dim), blink, SOS, 20hz strobe
* Tactical Mode: High and Strobe only
Turbo mode only with momentary push

18650 Battery

My only complaint is that my LED is somewhat off center... for $140 I expected it to be flawless.... I did compare it to both my Streamlight Stinger LED and Strion LED... It is brighter at full throw but the spot is not as nice as the Streamlights.... Ill post some beam comparison shots when I get a chance, btw Ill use a better camera than my phone...

Well I sent lightsandknives.com in Portland, OR a few pictures of what the spot looked like, and gave them a call...I they compared my pics to a M7R they had handy and agreed that my LED looks off centered.... Sent me a new one without question even before I send mine back... Im near Chicago so it'll prolly take a week to get here.... so we'll see how this one looks...

Thanks for the quick review. I couldn't wait for the beamshots so I ordered mine from Optics Planet....$99.00

I have a Led Lenser P14 and the beam on my model looks great compared to the beam pattern you have.

I also have a Led Lenser M1 and it too has no problems with the beam.

Your torch is definitely defective and I agree the LED looks off centre.

Generally Led Lenser make a great product.

This is where I should have gotten it from... Got my Strion from OpticsPlanet... They are literally in the next town over from where I live....However when I went on their site I couldn't find the M7R, stupid me searched just "LED Lenser", when I should have searched "Coast"... Its all good though, buying stuff out of state has one good thing, not paying tax, but whatever, in reality I only lost $30 by ordering from Portland.... not gonna break the bank

As soon as I get the replacement I will post some beam comparison shots of the M7R, Stinger LED. and Strion LED

Recieved my replacement M7R today.... the spot is not dead on center, but is a lot better than the first one that I recieved.... When I get home tonight I'll post some beam shots...

Have you tried utlgoa's suggestion?

"I had the same problem with my P17. Just rotate the head while the light is on and pointed at a nearby wall and that should do it."

Looking forward to those beam shots. :)

You really can't rotate the head since the M7R has a "zoom lock".... can ony be turned about a 1/4 turn... but yeah I tried everything.... no dice... The new one I got today is much better check out the pics

Had a hard time capturing the beams with my camera however.......

Just got my M7R the other day (didn't know about the locking head feature till I got the light) and I'm happy I purchased it. No complaints on the beam/spot.

The magnetic charger is a great feature, and it's cool that you can either plug the charger into an outlet, or a USB port.

Good Job Led Lenser!

Post some beam shots if you can... My camera sucks... Cant see the beam in any of my pics except the last picture, had to use a very high exposure... The pictures I took really dont do justice... The beam is outstanding at night!

I received my M7R on Tuesday and have made a Beamshot-Comparsion to some other lights yesterday evening.

I hope that I can build the gallery page with the beamshots today, so then I can show you some camparsion beamshots outside to other flashlights (Mag 3D with 6xAA and Dittmann-Dropin, Mag 1D SSC P7 from nailbender, Surefire E2e@KL1, Surefire G2 Dittmann Dropin, Jetbeam Jet III M, some Fenix and other lights).

My first opinion about this light: very nice, the charging method is awesome ;) I really love this magnetic charging system via USB cable.
Light power is also very good for the light and the focus system works fine.
I think this light could really become my first-choice-EDC-light instead of the Jetbeam ;)

I'm guessing a light like this would use a Cree XR-E. The problem here could be that it is attempting to project the diffused image of a die that is not completely square on all sides (The projected image of an XR-E die looks something like a square keyhole).
