Led lenser V2 Mini-moon

I've just come across this which is smaller than the V2 Triplex. It runs off 1 AAA cell, and looks very well made. You can see what it looks like here:- http://www.atzler.de/english/n2/hardware/photonenpumpe/photonenpumpe-v2-mini-moon.htm

It is rated to have battery life up to 50 hours (whatever that means).

Light output is very good, with a tight beam, much brighter than my Infinity Ultra. In a day or so I will be able to compare it to an Arc-AAA.

This may be of interest to anyone in England. Although made by Zweibrüder, I bought this here for £20, which is on offer with a free small Mammut silver "army" knife.

Yes, it does seem quite robust, if not fully waterproof. My Arc-AAA has now arrived to compare it with. It is brighter than the Arc - maybe because of the tightly circular beam that you mention. Having said that, it is twice as big, and more than twice as heavy. Still, I like them both a lot.

It will be interesting to compare battery life.

I rather like my Triplex... it only appears to be a shade less bright than my Inova X5T, and has a very sleek appearance.

yes, I think that the V12 Triplex is a hell of a light for only 3 LEDs and this sleek design.

in general the zweibrüder-lights seem quite bright to me. although not the best survival-lights because of lack of water-resistance, they do look good.
they also have a "moon lenser" which produces a strictly circular beam with no side spill, just like a moon. neat.
