I was issued a mag charger by my work, and I'm really not impressed with it. Can anyone recommend a good easy drop in mod for it?

Also, are there any good batteries I could get to replace the nicads? And if I were to use those, could I still use the cradle charger that came with the light?

Thanks!

(Also, can any recommend a similarly sized light with better performance that would be a good outright replacement for the mag light?)

What exactly don't you like? The stock magcharger is already very bright. The charge time sorta sucks but it is what it is, don't think there are any aftermarket "drop in" battery replacements with signifigantly better performance. There are a few LED dropins out there that are really bright but they won't throw as far as the magcharger, and runtime isn't that much better than stock.

The MagCharger is already pretty bright as is, there are a few mods for it but some of them will require different patter packs which won't work with the cradle charger.

You can swap in a WA 1160 bulb or Philips 5761 for more output, also Malkoff has a similar performing(lumen wise) drop-in.

There is a 3500 mah NIMH battery that is easy to find, a 4000 mah battery may be much harder to find, and 3000 mah Nicad are very cheap... I'll go with the "malkoff" drop in for the Magcharger, when you look at it, it looks like a happy face :)

If you know any of his work, this will blow you away!!!
