has anyone ever used any of their products?

http://www.led-spot.com/index.shtml (scroll down abit to get to the actual products)

They have some pretty interesting angle fields that appear to be perfect for multi-led headlamps... Was thinking about using to Q5's one with a spot and one with a wide angle diffuser on seperate circuits...

some of the beam shots are showing Zero rings off of a cree!

Those are optics from the Finnish company Ledil. Very good quality. I'm leaning towards using a wide in headlamps. It almost as wide as a bare XR-E and it reduces glare significally as it is frosted on the top.

If you are interested in headlamp design with wide flood + spot you may like the caving lamp thread in the headlamps forum.

Excellent...

I like the 30deg wide Lc1 combined with the 3deg spot :)huh:).. wow, 3deg!!!

Yessiree, Have been through that post several times for ideas. At the moment i've fallen back on a BD Xenix with a Q5 and the standard luxeon optic.... More rings than 10 three ring circuses i tell yah. I did load the insides up with plenty of silicone though and it has managed to survive more than one eskimo roll in the middle of summer.

Thanks for the headsup!

Ledil measure their optics in halfbeam, you may have noticed it says +- 3 degress. That means 3 degrees on ether side of the center, so total beam is 6 degrees. Only real 3 degree optics I know of is the 60mm from carclo. A bit too bulky...

Good call... still 6deg seems tighter than anything i have at present. Went ahead and ordered All of the LC1 series, and a couple other diffuser types.

Still awaiting an order from the notorious LED store in China (about a month now).

Will get a new thread going as soon as all of the components arrive.

Thanks again

Appended my order to include a few of the rockets.. The spot with wide spil just looked a little too weird with the 3d cloud beamshot though.. hmm will see.
