LED street lights

Good thing I was sitting down when I read this. Hard to beleave I can drive over and take a look at them. I live in a small upstate town that does not see this kind of stuff first.

Lets hope they know how to direct the light so I can still see the stars.

I have LED street lights and it's anything like the lights they use here. It's great the light is directed almost completely downward the fixtures are not set up high like traditional vapor lamps they are set about 20 feet up.

Everything is nice and bright and colors are not as washed out and it works with the reflective coatings on the street signs. I'd like to see more LED street lights installed around my city.

I bet you the normal street lights are close to the same price.
