LED up grade for Steamlight Strion?

Before I sold my Strion I looked high and low for an LED upgrade - none are commercially available and from what I could tell at the time very few have attempted a mod either (if any...).
You might be able to convince someone to do one but I doubt it would be worth the cost since it would be new and unexplored territory.
Either keep it as a hotwire backup or sell it on the marketplace and pick up a new LED light. There are plenty of multi level lights to choose from and while most don't have the cradle charging ease of the Strion, with RCR123s, 17670s and 18500s (and proper care and attention of course with charging them) there are lots of options that will give you a lot more lumens than the Strion as well as a rechargeable option. Honestly since I an not an LEO the cradle charger is not essential to my normal uses.
That said there are LED duty lights including the new Strion LED (which I don't like as much as the original from a body standpoint), Stinger, Inova T4, etc...
I chose a Dereelight CL1H to replace my Strion - it is a very nice light with lots of upgrades, options and a modular design. No worries about missing the latest emitter upgrades with Dereelight - as you can buy a new pill and use the reflectors and host for relatively little extra cash. But there are a LOT of P60 style lights you can choose from, and even more 2xCR123/1x17670-18500 lights.
