Is anyone using the Surefire LED upgrades to the M-500/900 series weaponlights? I have a M-500 on my duty carbine. I'm not impressed with the quality of light provided for the weight and bulk of the system. I'd been considering going to another light when I saw that Surefire offered LED upgrades. Thanks and be safe.

What kind of budget do you have in mind?

For the M500 series, Nailbender (check out the Custom B/S/T forum) can build custom LED modules inside of a clone M3 head or a real M3 head. If you have any questions, PM him and he will be glad to help.

TLS also makes LED heads for the M3/4. Go to Optics HQ and check out the TX3 or the TX4. According to their site, both will work with the M500/900.

Last resort you can get a Lumens Factory P7 head. This bad boy puts out a lot of light!

BTW here's a thread about the M900 series lights:

Lumens factory p7
Will run on 9-12v so 2 or 3 rechargeable and 3 or 4 primaries
Maufacturer specced at 900 lumens, probably around 6-700otf
Mine runs 45mins on 3x aw rcr123
Lights up the local school oval nicely
Dunno how it will go with recoil on a firearm though
It is nicely built though

Thanks for the responses, guys. I know more about flashlights than anyone at work, but you guys put me to shame. Thanks again.
