First it happened to my Brookstone Microbeam several months ago.... Now my Coast / Eddie Bauer key-chain light (smallest version).
Both lights got wet. The Microbeam with a single drop of water. The Coast light got drenched. So each one turned itself on, at less than full power, and wouldn't turn off. Both could be turned on, to full brightness. But switching the lights off, resulted in diminshed, constant-on output.
To be honest, I didn't care about the microbeam. But my Coast / Eddie Bauer light was what I carried on my car keys. Despite rings on the outer edges of the side-spill, and a bluish hot-spot, this light was incredibly bright; considering it's size. Also had very good side-spill.... Now I have to replace it.
Has anyone else experienced the same type of problem with small LED lights that run on button cells?
