LEDs Fluoresce?

I was playing with a black light the other day and found that my SSC P7 is fluoresces under the light. Has anyone else realized that this happens?

It's the phosphor.

That's what the phosphor does when the LED is on. It fluoresces under UV light.

Now, the LED phosphor is optimized for the longwave UV the die radiates, but some of the majority-shortwave radiation of the blacklight still excites it.
