Hello! I recently bought a Light&Go Foride: the amount of light is awesome but I'd like to put on a narrower optic. Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks.

I have no idea how to open it. No idea which optic they used. BUT you might, (by measuring your light and the distance between the LEDs) figure out if one of the narrow spots from this site will work.

IMHO: Too much light in the wrong places is not good. Alternative: a helmet spot light to augment it. If this is a road issue, even the narrow beams will be a tad bit wide, so a hood extending out the front top to cut the top off the beam, a slight down angle aiming, and a lower power setting may be needed even with the narrowest optic.

Thanks Brian! I took a look at the lens and is marked BICOM: it's a chinese led lenses manufacturer. I see from specs that the XP-G lenses they produce have a diameter of 33mm against the 35mm of the LEDIL (for example). It shouldn't be a problem to cut it down to 33mm just to fit the space, but I don't understand how could I pull the lens off. The lens is under a screwed aluminum ring that can be easily unscrewed but then I should be able to pull out the lens easily: maybe it's glued very well to the lens. I'll try to take some pictures and post them, in case it helps.

Since these are on piece lenses, the LEDs must be at the individual lens centers. I am not sure you can measure as accurately as needed when the lenses OD is only 2 mm different. OTOH, the 35 mm lens versions appear to have a bit of a flange that can be trimmed, if so, the centers for the four LEDs may be spot on. Often a little glue is used to hold the lens. If epoxy, great care must be taken prying the lens free so you damage neither the circuit board or the LEDs themselves. Done well, you can reverse the process and no harm done, if a narrower beam lens cannot be fitted.

Pictures might get you help from adventurous souls who have freed similar lenses.
