I kind of curious about this. Has anyone attempted, however crudely, to figure out what the thermal transfer rate is between a Light Engine and an Aleph head?

LOCO is more like it.
The super-crude way I've done it is to turn on a hot emitter, and touch the head after a few minutes. It gets hot - must be heat transfer! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Real answer: Haven't ever measured it.

I could get a rough idea by comparing temps of the head and the LE with an IR pyrometer, but the reflective surfaces on the bottom of the LE will skew the temp readings. Just hoping someone has already done the experiment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
