Light Intensity Measurements

I am looking for a system to check light intensity of LED arrays such as LED ring lights both for strobe lighting and continuous lighting.

Hey I would like something like that. Is that a basic model? Are their cheaper ones? I don't really know anything about them, but I should really get one.

Following the E-bay link, and typing in light meter, I got 170 returns. I don`t know didilly squat about them though.

I just came off ebay, and may have found a nice remote sensor probe that will fit my Tektronix photometer.
If I win it, maybe I'll be better equipped to take these types of measurements.

yeah, there's hundreds (thousands?) of light meters...the cheapest ones (but they work pretty good, just gotta watch closer) are analog with the moving needle type devices...the better ones are digital so you can hold the readings and get a more accurate reading...

within those two catagories are spot meters and area meters and everything in between...

that's a pretty nice one (i dunno a ton about meters, but a few people have told me (lighting technicians, i'm an audio guy myself) that minolta is a standard meter, as in others are judged by them)...on their website they had about 10 different model numbers, just couldn't get any info or pics...

and oh yeah...the one i pointed out was made for picture and video lighting metering, i dunno if it goes down to the standard 5600mcd, that's almost nothing compared to a few dozen 1000w incandesent bulbs...
