Curious: Does anyone have a chart of the light output of a typical 1W luxeon versus current? For example, how many lumens at 200ma, 300ma, 400ma, 500 ma and up? Also what voltages are required to drive the different current?

Obviously this would be very helpful to figure where the 'sweet spot' is for efficiency versus brightness and how much one should sacrifice efficiency to get more brightness before the return in power consumption isn't worth it.

Anyway, thanks in advance to you pros for any charts/figures on the web. (i.e. dat2zip, Mr. Bulk, McGizmo etc any info?)

Thanks in advance,
Mo

Eh hehe, the sweet spot is different for every Luxeon. Generally anything from 100 ma and above is going down on the efficiency graph.

A typical graph can be found in the Luxeon Data sheet.

DS25 will have the info. Checking Lumileds site now requires you to fill in some personal info before you can access the documentation.

DS25 (Jan 2002) has it on page 7, charts 3a and 3b.
