Some time ago, when there was absolutely no other means to receive the 10 Watt HID pieces, I bought a LightCannon to mod into a bike light.
Being very lazy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, I tried only some "on the fly" tests and forgot about the idea.
Despite any of the posts here, my original setup is way from being "astoundingly white"; the light is VERY much on the blue side.
Only using the LT1513-IC (this one will be put between the ballast and the batteries in the final application), set to 10.5 Volts and thus drawing 1.1 Apms pushes a really bright and WHITE light.
So the question is: anything wrong with my Ballast/burner Combination? Wrong batteries? (NiCads/NiMhs make no difference)
PS: just inserted lamp, ballast, batteries into the Light Cannon Housing --> blue light again
update: seems more on the white/green side now (with NiMhs instead of the alkalines)
