Link for: seperating SF reflectors from LA\'s

Hi...This may be redundant, but I searched for the thread (and couldn't find it) inregards to seperating the reflector from the rest of the LA. I remember it had something to do with putting the LA in the oven to melt the glue...Anyone have a quick link to that post?

Thanks!

I've gotten them apart by just cutting into that ceramic type stuff (at least on a p61) and shaving away until it comes appart. Not terribly hard, and the reflector itself isn't actually attached very sturdily to the rest of the LA once you start attacking the potting compound...

dano,
All I do is put the LA in a vice, then I hit it with a heatgun. Like 20 seconds at a time. Don't force it, when it gets hot enough, it will just peel off with almost no effort. You don't need to get it real hot. Just 175 degrees or so. I think. Just hit it with heat for 20 seconds at a time or so. Like I said, it will peel right off.
