list of headlamps with white + red LEDs

I've seen a number of threads posted by people looking for headlamps with red LEDS... So I threw together a quick list of all of the headlamps that have one or more red LEDs in addition to a main white beam. I also listed the batteries that each headlamp takes. If I missed anything, please let me know!!!



I did not include headlamps with red filters, because white LEDs emit very little light in the red end of the spectrum, so a red filter ends up blocking most of your available lumens. A red LED is a much better option. But if anyone wants to add a list of headlamps with red filters, go for it!

eGear HL-130 Focus Control 200 headlamp

In addition to focuable center white LED, has single red (solid or blinking), green and blue 5mm LEDs on the front as well as a red LED (solid or blinking) on back integrated into the 3 x AAA batter holder.

EDIT: Also, Petzl Signal (maybe?). Petzl's site says it uses 3 red LED's but to me, given the case is red might it actually be 3 white LED's behind that red casing? What do you think?

XP-C plus one each of 5mm red, green, white on front. Red (blinky or solid) on 3-AAA battery pack on back.

Super cheap for the UK (£12.50 delivered with decent batteries included); maybe not such a good deal internationally... dunno.

Quite a throwy beam (well, as throwy as you're going to get with this kind of a setup) with the main led. Nice and light (115g with batteries). Not regulated. The 5mm led spills into my glasses, which is a bit of a pain if I'm not wearing a ballcap. Decently made. Thin but functional straps mean that it doesn't bounce if you run with it; however, I don't run with it much because the throwy beam is annoying (to me).
