Lithium batteries

This is somewhat an embasassing question to ask, but here it goes. I was wondering what dangers are there when using lithium batteries in lights? I have seen posts with lights that have exploded and such, can someone give me the rundown please? Also, do you all store your lights with or without batteries in them?

It is an excellent question. I can refer you to these threads to begin learning about them. You need to respect them, but you can use them safely once you follow the basic safety guidelines.
