Newly Enlightened
Well, I finally finished my Luxeon Star MiniMag conversion, and one of the side-efects of having chosen a 2AA light is that I can now use Energizer L91 Lithium batteries in it.
While I haven't seen how long they will last in yet, I can't get over how light they are! My LS MiniMag with Lithium batteries weighs almost EXACTLY 3 oz! The Alkalines burned for about 2 1/2 hours constantly, and I'm hoping I'll see signifigantly longer burn with the Lithiums, but I'll have to use up a set to find out... Even if they don't burn longer, the weight savings is amazing!
Do they make any other 1.5V standard sized Lithium batteries? I am especially interested in a Lithium AAA, but C and D cells would be cool too. So far, all I can find for direct Lithium replacements is the Energizer L91.
