Longbow Sandwich/McR-20 conversion.

For you fellers with a lathe and a little time, this is a neat enhancement for the Longbow. The IMS 17mm reflector works OK, but with some boring one of Don's excellent 20mm jobs fills the space much better. But, it's substantially longer than the other optic/reflector choices. I wanted to use the full-sized McR-20, so some changes had to be made to give me some more room. I ended up making an insert that would hold a standard sandwich. This enabled me to move the LED back the required amount to use the full size McR-20. Some careful measurement allowed me to position the reflector so that it sits exactly flush with the end of the head /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. A UCL from flashlightlens finished it off.

Now it has that famous 'Aleph2' beam.

The stock optic doesn't leave you much room either. You need a dinky o-ring just to fit an UCL. And you can forget about it with the booster head.
