Does anyone know if there's a bulb from radio shack or some other company that will work with the scorpion but give it the runtime around the same as the UKE 2L? There's a hunting store that sells the scorpion here but the 1 hr runtime would not be too useful for running around at camp or a hike. I really like the build quality of this light and just wondering if there are alternative bulbs that would work with this? thanks,.

The bulbs last for 4-5 hours if I remember correctly....it's the batteries that go in an hour or so!

I love my scorpion..I'm also searching for a high quality bulb w/a lower amp rating so you end up w/a longer burn time per set of batteries. I had some problem's getting around carley's site. Sugestion's ?

OK i`ve checked up carleylamps.com and there are all types of bulbs available (TOO MANY!). does anyone know what type of bulb is this? and which halogen or xenon bulb there would fit best with the scorpion and what ratings should you look for to double or triple the runtime of this flashlight? i wouldn't mind ordering like a order of 10 from them. cause i'm looking for camping use with this flashlight. and at least it would last long and be brighter than a 2D cell maglight, I know it will lose some lumens but that's all expected.

I dunno either, but I would love to have a regulated LED mod for the Streamlight Scorpion, especially if I could swap it in and out with the regular bulb holder. They're solid flashlights.

A less-demanding and less quickly burned out bulb even incandescent would also be nice; I notice I actually can't keep the Scorpion on for more than a few minutes at a time without starting to melt the middle of the plastic flat clear cover over the reflector!
