I'm currently looking for LED drivers with ~16mm diameter that fits in P60 DIY dropin parts.

The driver must work with 2xLiIon and should have 3 brightnes modes (no SOS, Stobe or other flicker modes). Unfortunately I have not found such a driver. The driver should be able to provide ~1.5-3A. The driver should be used with XP-G(2) and / or XM-L LEDs.

does anyone has a good source. I cant imagine that such drivers does not exist!?

Any sugestions welcome.

I thought a P60 would except 17mm drivers. May require sanding. You might try DX 26110 which can be modded for a 2amp current with its AX2002 IC.
You might also try KD S005296.
 
Thanks for telling me this drivers, looks interesting.

I was hoping I missed an 3 brightness level driver that is 2xLiIon capable. But it seems most drivers are 7135 for 1xLiIon.

Maybe someone still has a good driver for me that is 2xLiion capable.

it may be moded at 2A but what will happen to efficiency?
Ron of the mill 3.6-9V drivers in the XMl modules ahve very bad efficiencyand they are the same architecture of DX 26110
 
I don't know if I'd call it very bad, but I have also noticed that driver efficiency drops with increasing drive current for AX2002-based drivers. At a nominal 925mA drive, I get around 85% efficiency. At 1.57A drive, I get around 79%. At 1.92A drive, I get around 75%.

justin, if it is Only 75% in 2A that is a steal, dont you think.?

But does the drop have to do with the rest of the components being out of spec for such a current, or is there another reason for?
 
now to the original poster. I recalled another member tellign bme about a 2xlion driver that is 17mm driver and programamble too.
But it is a custom job, sold in that big russian forum

I replaced the stock SS14 diode with a Toshiba CMS04 diode, so at least that component was still running within spec. My guess is that the inductor is the problem. I was using the DX3256 driver, not the DX26110.
