Hello Guys,

I got into one of my H30, swapped the emitter.

Not too tough, or too easy!

Anyway, It looks like changing the driver would not be too hard.

These things must be running at 350mA or something close.

I would like to get a 3 mode driver in there with about a 1A high mode.

The trouble is, the electronic switch. The driver needs that type of remote input for switching.

Sure I could swap in a regular driver and use it like a twisty, but that's not what I want.

So, anyone have any good ideas for this little light?

I use it often, and love the size, but want the output of the H60.

Thanks for any help.

BUMP,

let me try to make this easier:

I need a driver for a single LED, with 3 levels, with a high output around 1 amp.

Driver must use a remote switch to turn on and change modes.

The driver can be up to 17mm diameter.

Thanks for any help

Doo,

ShiningBeam.... 3 mode for XP & XR emitters, supposed to be quite good. No idea about remote mode switch, was thinking of simple remote clicky ala SureFire remote tailswitch...

The high output GDuP boards look interesting
but again, not sure about the remote switch

Doo,

Whats the H30s voltage? Just got reminded of the buck driver that Download sells has 3 modes, might be just what you're looking for.

Thanks guys,
the remote switch is the kicker here, this needs a momentary switch input controlled driver to work with the stock switch.

The H30 can run from a cr123 primary, or a rechargeable.
I usually use a rechargeable, but it's also a great light to burn up used primaries.

I'll try to find the Download driver, but a buck may not be the best choice.

The GDUP would be great, if it had the correct switching.
I have one that I might try, but then it's a twisty. :thumbsdow

Good luck. There aren't a lot of off-the-shelf options that are under constant power and use a momentary switch for changing states. The only ones I can think of that have output modes as high as an amp are TaskLED's, and I don't know if there's one that's small enough to fit in a H30.

How about swapping in a NovaTac/Ra driver (if it's not too big) and a low Vf emitter?
