I think the Dereelight DBS V3 MC-E is the most versatile of ALL the lights mentioned here, as you can easily change it to an R2 and have a light with spectacular throw when you need a bit more range. And when Dereelight releases a new pill, all you need to buy is the pill to have the newest toy.

The Dereelight can be fed with 2x RCR-123, 2x 18650 (with extension tube), 4x CR123 (with extension tube). I think that makes for very versatile power options.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong........but specs on the DBS MC-E from Flashcrazy's website are 10 v max for the 3SM pill and 12 v max for the 1SM pill - I'd watch putting 4 x CR123 in those! Could be :poof: when you turn it on with 4 fresh 3.25 v CR123s!

DBS is a great light though - no doubt about that...

Well, after a great amount of deliberating, I have decided to purchase the Jetbeam M1X. I hope that I am not disappointed. Thanks for all the advice everyone.
