Is there a certain flashlight that stands out using the MC-E emitter? I think this will be my next purchase and I want to get the best performer out there.
Yes, there is... Get a JetBeam M1X! It's the finest, brightest, furthest-throwing MC-E light you can buy right now.Is there a certain flashlight that stands out using the MC-E emitter? I think this will be my next purchase and I want to get the best performer out there.
DBS is nice, but you need to run it on either 2 x RCR-123 (alone) or 2 x 18650 (with extension tube). Can't throw in CR123 in a pinch. The Jetbeam allows 3 x 123, 2 x 18500 (alone) or 2 x 18650 / 4 x CR123 with extension tube.
Fit and finish on the Jetbeam is far superior as well. I just sold my DBS MC-E shortly after purchasing an M1X...
what, does Dereelight still exist?
Sorry I forgot about them. As far as I'm concerned, their inferior built quality and obsolete offerings are of no interest to me, but that's just me maybe.
The P60 is a 26mm lamp assembly, so they are very small compared to these large reflectored-lights made for long range tasks. A P60 drop-in simply can't compete against a dedicated thrower, especially an MC-E drop-in, they are 100% floody with very little throw. They are superb for indoors and closer tasks, thoughHow do these purpose built lights stack up to the 6p dropins?
Nope, not true. You can get the 1xCR123 extension and run the DBS MC-E on 3xCR123 or 2x18500. Or get the 18650 extension and run it on 2x 18650 batteries.

Great info!
I need an edc flooder and was thinking 6p might be a bit bulky
Anyone have experience with a more pocketable 1X18650 form factor?
