I'm looking for a body worn thermometer that you can wear either on your body and have a digital display wired somehow or one that you can wear on your wrist like a watch. If anyone's got any idea where I can find one I'd appreciate it.

Ambient temperature (air temp) or body temperature? Sorry , I didnt understand which you wanted.

That's ok, reading my post again I realize that I should have been clearer....body temp.

seems like that wouldnt work since outside skin thats exposed to air would be diferent then internal temp.but i may be wrong

I have had my doubts about something like this existing or being accurate. But, I figure I'm not the only one interested in something like this, and if wishing can make it so, I'm hoping I can find one.

How about something like this?

You could velcro it to the outside of your coat, and have the probe on your body. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

One problem is that body temp will change slightly, but pretty regularly, due to a number of reasons, but still be "normal" (normal can vary from person to person). If you need to monitor your body temp on a regular basis, digital thermometers are very portable and durable. If you need to have a rapid check, there are some that read the temp by sticking it (the thermometer that is!) in your ear and will give you a reading in a second or two, but they are not quite as accurate as an oral thermometer.

Just curious, but why do you need to monitor your temp often? Are you trying to see if it changes under varying conditions?

For highest accuracy, the probe has to be INSIDE the body /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eeew.gif

Your skin temp is cooler than your core temp. You have to go through an oriface to get your true temperature. And well, wearing an ear thermometer all day might look tacky :P

Use Bart's illustrated remote theometer and put the probe
(you know where) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eeew.gif
