looking for an AA with good spill/flood

I think the ITP A2 will get you more of what you are looking for than the akoray.

Maybe the romisen rc-29 might interest you too? It has a really sweet flood mode. Doesn't have the great modes of the itp A2 though.

Although more expensive, the quark mini AA is supposed to be great too. I have the mini 123 and love it.

what's the difference between regular and neutral?

tint color.

Here's a sample for your reference (Quark AA).

If you'll be using it indoors then get the Cool white but for Outdoor usage its better to get the Neutral white.:grin2:

Of the lights mentioned so far, my experience suggests that the Quark Mini AA (or Mini 123) with the XPG emitter will offer a floodier beam. The older model (about 6 months older, using the XPE emitter) will offer better throw.

The Quark 1xAA will offer the best of both worlds. I recommend using it with a 3.6v 14500 li-ion rechargeable cell, for really sweet output.

Isnt it much more expensive? *edit* yes it's double the price. I would expect it to be better, but it isnt affordable for me.

Does the Romisen RC-G2 really have a good spill? I've seen pictures that dont look that smooth or bright to me.
