Just placed an order for a MDC HA 1AA and wondering if someone could recommend a nice belt holster. Could be open top or have some type of closure. Made in USA a plus. Thank you!

Ripoff holsers are USA made fabric holsters. They'll make anything you want, but they most likely already have a design made that works.

Malkoff sells a Raine USA made fabric holster. Raine directly probably has a holster that fits the 1AA.

Also, Etsy has one-person shops that will custom make you a Kydex or leather holster that will fit either bezel up or down
lztacticalholsters (This guy will custom make you anything you want) He's LEO and does this on the side. I sent him the measurements and he made it happen.
Smithcustomkydex
APSaddlery (Will also custom make you a leather holster)

Thor makes very nice leather holsters, too: https://thorshammercustomleather.com/flashlight-holsters

Hi,
How long is your MDC HA 1AA and what is the max diameter ? I could know of something that fits the bill.

Cheers.

I'll measure it myself when it arrives and let you know.

I might like the clip. Everyone says USPS is slow, but I ordered it on Sunday, shipped Monday and it will be here tomorrow (Wednesday). AL to MO. I've had lots of good luck with USPS.

So it should be the "standard" dimensions that appear on the Malkoff website.

Victorinox (makers of the famous Swiss Army Knife) make leather sheaths for their knives. And there are some tailored to their 111mm models. The MDC HA 1AA is said to measure 114.3mm (4.5 inches) so it will fit perfectly in length.
No problem diameter wise, I slipped a mini Maglite 1-inch diameter head in my sheaths smoothly.
The models are 4.0505.L and 4.0506.L. The difference in the 2 is the front to back dimension is greater by around 5 mm in the "6" model... but the way the side leather panels are sewn to the main piece (that makes up the body), you would say the difference is more like 1, 2 or maaaaybe 3 mm, not 5.
Both have Velcro fastening, and an integrated (or sliced-into-leather) belt loop. Meaning you have to open your belt and slip it through the loop.
They also make another model, the 4.0524.31, but that one has their metal 180° rotating belt clip on it. So NO NEED to undo your belt to slip it on and off.

The other difference between the 2 above models and the third one is the length of the closing panel (rabat in french): the first 2 are full-length of the body, the 4.0524.31 is about half-length.

All three are sold between 15 and 30€, depending on where you buy. And the roto-clip model is the more expensive of the 3.

NB : I only have the first 2 at the moment, the "....5.L" & the "....6.L".

Here's my favorite holster. It's bezel down, perfect for a tail-switch.
The rip-off nylon holsters are nice when the entire light needs covered, but deployment is slower and it's bezel up.
