Hello, I am new to this forum, and was wandering if anyone knows of a good flashlight, the same size, or smaller than the Mag Lite Solitaire. I have developed a product that uses a Solitaire currently, but am needing to find a diffrent one, as these guys are pretty hard to work with...Thanks in advance...-Joshua M

Welcome to CPF, Joshua M.

You have posted this in the incandescent light forum, which is correct as the Solitaire is an incan light; however, I suspect when you see what is available, you may choose an LED light for your project.

For that reason, I'm going to move your thread to the LED Flashlight section - that way, you'll get an idea of what there is on offer.

If after a while you decide you definitely need an incan light rather than an LED one, just let me or another member of CPF staff know, and we'll move the thread back for you.

The Fenix LD01 or L0D is a fantastic option. The solitaire and the fenix's are about the same size but the fenix's are exponentially brighter and have much longer runtime.

You should also look into the Streamlight Microstream since its closer to the price of a solitaire.

Hello Joshua,

Welcome to CandlePowerForums !

:welcome:

Don't know exactly what project yer' workin' on,

but you might wanna' check out the Fenix E01.

Comes in several pretty colors, and at a very reasonable price, too.

Good Luck.

Oh, if you should want to post additional details, we'd love to hear 'em.

I think if you tell us the requirements of the flashlight to do the job we can guide you better.

- Minimun runtime.
- Price.
- Sizes you can admit.
- Price.
- Is color rendition important.
- Battery type.
- etc
