When AW says to be careful about leaving his cells in a hot car he means it. 60C... that's 140F. Never thought it would get that hot in there. At least there was no drama. Just a dead cell. 0V and 51.5K ohms resistance.

Since these cells are NLA, I've got a $200 custom P7 paperweight.

If it is reading 0V, maybe that is the protection circuit. That is a very high resistance, too.

Try putting it on the charger for a minute or so and see if that jolts it back to life. It's worth a try.

If it's what I think it is (mag 1c) then there's a chance weather his new IMR 26500's will fit. And then there's always 18500's and PVC.

Yeah. 2C body with some machining by MirageMan and internals by CM. Carried it on duty for about 6 months. Co-workers all love to borrow it. I think I can make a sleeve and try some 18650s... Better than a paperweight. Only one cell died. The light was in direct sunlight under the glass of my hatchback on a 95* day. I was just too lazy to bring it inside last night. STUPID STUPID STUPID

If it is 1C Mag and the rear of the switch has not been modified in a way to cause a problem I see no reason not to use an IMR26500 with the shrinkwrap removed.

Ok, 2C - you'll need another cell.

Or probably light bore to allow IMR26500s to fit.

Its a shame Download no longer sells the MagRing C kit
You could have used a pair or AW 18650 2600mAH cells
instead of the C cells

Is the light a standard length Mag 2C ?
Has the tailcap been bored out ?
