Mine's pretty boring. No idea where my SF 6Z went, bought some stuff to replace it, found it upstairs watching TV about two months later. I was afraid I dropped it outside or something, but no, I misplaced it indoors. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

Anyone else have better stories of MIA flashlights? A young woman absconded with an Opalec and a CMG Ultra, but I don't count those as *lost* really.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twak.gif And the ones which have gone "swimming" http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=197560&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&vc=1 I'm not counting either. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I lost my 6Z for 4 years, found it while moving. The damn thing fired right up... gotta love those lithium batteries.

I lost my blue INOVA X5T last September and I still can't find the stupid thing. I never even had a chance to use it. I haven't lost something so completely in a long time.

Well, mine not a flashlight, but the heart of it. Four good binned luxeon 1W lost on the hand of USPS. Don't even touch it. So sad /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I think that's a hazard of our hobby: price-density. Save for electronics and precious metals or gems, it's not often you find a tiny thing worth so much.

I had a turquoise CMG Infinity go MIA for the best part of a year. It had fallen down the back of the bench and become tangled in the rat`s nest of cables back there. Only when the top came off one of the cable restraint trays leading to a big knot of cables dropping down, did it re-surface. Still took a while to untangle it (the Lanyard was wrapped pretty tight around everything), but the best part was that it still worked! I had visions of the el-cheapo Panasonic zinc cell inside all corroded and expanded ruining the poor thing, but it was fine.

I also thought I`d lost my CPF Member Edition Arc AAA, but it was actually just stored away for safe keeping and turned up not long afterwards. So safe I couldn`t find it until I had a bit of a clear-out. Isn`t it always the way... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I`ve never found any of my flashlights watching TV though. They normally prefer to listen to the radio.

I lost my first flashlight, a Rayovac penlight, when I was about 8 or 9. I'm 46 now and I still pine for it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mecry.gif

Had 2 ErgoMarine lights.

Lost both - found one - the other is still missing - presumed to be a POW in one of my kid's rooms somewhere under all the toys...

Abe.

Anyone *try* to lose the cheap, nasty Engergizer $1.50 flashlights they were sent to summer camp with?

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif Oh, I see. I thought you were looking for a copy of "The Flashlight Boys in The Tomb of the Lost Lantern."

I lost a green 3P which was my first SF/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mecry.gif years ago, it has bothered me ever since. I have had dreams about where I could find my little friend and in the morning when I check the strange location in the dream I never find it(even crawled under the porch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif). I recently got another to attempt to stop the dreams/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif(thats what I tell the GF,it was a gift from her)Thanks John!!!!
