this could be a bike light question but it really is more about electronics...

i currently have a 3xcree bike light that uses a buck driver, battery is 12 x 1.2v 2000mah nimh (14.4v)

the problem i have is the size and weight of this and also i eather have to charge them individually or use my complex digital charger that i hook up to the car battery

id like to change the driver or change the battery system

so here are my options

1) keep driver and use li-ion batteries i have an ultrafire charger that will do 2x 18650 batteries so id need at least 4 of them and then do 2 sets of charging - but for this i would need a battery carrier

question - is there a battery carrier for 4x18650 or more?

2)keep the driver and use 14500 batteries - this way i can use an aa carrier

question - will 4 x 14500 be enough (as they are 800mah - ish)
question - if i need 6 x 14500 is there a charger that does more than 2 at a time?

3)change to a boost driver and go with 6aa nimh or other li-ion combo

my aim is - a system that is lighter but not annoying to charge
also i don't want to end up buying lots of new things (driver , batteries, charger

what will work - what wont - whats best?

hope someone can help

A Triton RC charger will do up to 5 Li-ion cells but there is no integrated balancer, and it's expensive to boot. I can't address the other questions.
