Quick Question: Will the low power ROP 11 watt bulb instaflash if used in a completely stock 6D Maglite with normal alkaline batteries? I heard that it will run on 8.4 volts but can it handle 9 volts?

no it wont instaflash but you also wont get high performance.
alkalin batteries have high voltage drop under load....

Will I still at lest make 300 lumens? The Xenon bulbs for the 6D will make 220 lumens so I just want to know if there will be any improvement over that. I am not looking to make a super light just one that is a little brighter then I had running before with the Maglite Xenons. I poofed the original xenon when I put it in my 7D RayOVac.:mecry:So I just was looking for a replacement bulb.

It shouldn't instaflash the low bulb.

Going from this thread, you should get around 700 out the front at the start(before battery sag). It should be at least 300 lumen out the front. It might be hot enough to damage the reflector.
