Orginally (when they were called LS2s, had a higher price and a lower rank of LED), they were to come with a pouch and a battery.

Now we sell everything seperately and offer a higher flux LED.

Just received my LSH. I am impressed with the whiteness of the beam and love the clickie switch.
What a compact light! Not quite as bright as my KL1 but I think I like the beam a little better. It is MUCH whiter. I will have to use it at work a couple nights to see if it is worth the extra money.

Kev65658, do you own an older model LS? how would you compare beam size, quality, and throw? I'm aching to make the upgrade, but not until I see hard evidence that I'm getting a superior (100 bucks worth of superior) light.

Well, Fed Ex got this to me a day early. Its impressive to say the least! I don't have another LS to compare it to, but it makes my ARC AAA look anemic and blue. The beam is very white. I can't wait until it gets dark so I can really try it out.

I was under the impression from posts I had read here that the new LS's were to come with the pouch (it didn't). I guess I was wrong about that...

My LSH-P is my first ARC flashlight. I would think this is the best flashlight ever, but I own a great KL1! My LSH-P comes in 2nd to my KL1 in every way except the tail switch and the beam whiteness. This is a great little light but it doesn't measure up to my KL1. $160 I don't think so.

I don't have another LS to compare against my LSH-P, but i have a new Inova 5X.

Beamwise, I much prefer the LSH-P. It has a definite hotspot, which throws MUCH further than the Inova. Its peripheral beam is also much bigger. My Inova doesn't really have a hotspot, but it's very nice for up to about 20ft, being uniformly bright from middle outwards. It's also a bit bluish. My LSH-P is very white.

Build-wise, I prefer the Inova; it's got about the best build i've seen, on par or even better than the other 3 SureFires I have. The 123-TSP tailcap of my LSH-P is very functional, but that rubber cap could be better. It can actually be pulled out, I think. Also, i have some translucent stuff on the rim where the LED bulb meets the reflector, which looks like glue. No idea what it is.

Size-wise, there's nothing like the LSH-P. That's the reason i bought it.

Price-wise, it's freaky expensive. The SureFire 1E + the KL1 LED is about $100 total, and you get both the incand and LED head. But as I said, size-wise, the LS beats everyone (for that kind of beam).

Would i buy it again? Yes, i would.

this_is_nascar, your order has both a LSL and LSH. The LSH has begun shipping but the LSL is back ordered until next week at the soonest.
