I'm considering on purchasing a Lumapower Connexion. If anyone has experience with this light will you please post any comments, opinions, etc. regarding the quality, durability, tint color and whatever else you feel is important.
I've seen them for sale at Lighthound. Anybody know the discount code?

Thanks to all who reply.

Make the move, I am glad I did! That's a great deal.
This is my first 14500 powered light.

Thanks for the information. For those who use this flashlight regularly, is it common to accidentally change the light levels or can you basically rely on keeping the level that you mostly use from changing.
Also how would you describe the tint color, warm white, neutral white, or cool white?
Thanks for your answers.

Did You Read The Review That I Linked To?

There Is A Bundle Of information In The Writup.

......a nice neutral white, leaning slightly to the warm side at lower the output levels.

I read the review and thank you for the link. I was just wondering if the tint would be consistent with others who have this light or does the tint color vary from one Connexion to another.

The tint of the Connexion beam is a warm white similar to the sunlight (CREE Q5 WD). For me it's very pleasing. I use it a lot for reading in bed and feed it with a 2650 mAh Energizer NiMH that lasts for a long time. I am very happy with the Connexion and I also have the Incendio (1 x 123).

Kilovolt, thank you for your reply. Is it too easy to change modes without intentionally trying to?

Don't buy it!......... Yet

The V2 version is due out very soon I believe which addressed a few minor nitpicks about the design. There was a line or 2 about it in a sales thread about another light in the Marketplace.

Here is the mention of it. Give it a month or so.

Most likely when the newer V2 version comes out it will be alot higher in cost compared to what the Connexion goes for now. I'm just not sure if it would be worth the extra cost for the newer version.
I've been reading different time lapses it takes in order to activate the memory mode. 2 seconds or 3 seconds. I've read it's longer in the Connexion compared to the Inscendio. The newer Inscendio V2 is suppose to be changed to a 1 second time lapse.
In practical use does the current Connexion time lapse to memory activation make it easier to accidentally change modes? Would it be worth to pay about 70% extra (my guess) for the newer Connexion V2 version?
Thanks for any comments.

The Connexion is one of my favorite lights. The tint is just about my favorite and is consistant across two Connexions and two Incendio - all very close to each other. This is suprising in the world of LED's. The Connexion has great regulation and very good runtime. Using a 14500 rechargeable it is a even better performer in the brightness/runtime department. As long as you don't flash your light at things, unwanted level changing is not a problem. I hold the light against my leg and half-press the tail switch till I get the wanted brightness and then complete the press for on. Once on I have never had it change brightness during use. Lighthound has a good deal on version 1 right now.
