Lumens Factory Bulbs in WeaponLights?

My Surefire 918FA shotgun forend (3x123A) will be arriving next week and I'm already considering a bulb swap.
Surefire markets their MN10 and MN11 bulbs for this forend, but the output is quite a bit less than the Lumen Factory options.
I'd like to go big if I can, but I'm not yet convinced of LF's quality. :poke:

Three questions;

1. Any reason to assume an LF bulb will be any more fragile than the SF original?

2. Is it really possible for LF to make a 380 lumen bulb that runs for 40 minutes despite the fact that SF's 225 lumen bulb only runs for 20 minutes?

3. Is there any real difference between LF's EO-M3 and HO-M3T? They both claim 380 lumens (3x123A) for 40 minutes. What am I missing?

Thank you for your time CPF team! :thumbsup:

I believe the HO-M3T is a turbohead model.

LF rates their bulbs at the emitter (bulb lumens) while SF rates theirs out the from (torch lumens). 380 lumens at the bulb = roughly 247 torch lumens.

Furthermore: SF ratings are conservative, based on an average output for the life of the batteries. 225 lumens would be approximate at around 50% battery life. A SF lamp rated at 225 lm would be putting out at least 300 lumens on fresh batteries.

Mdocod can explain it better.
