Ok I have seen a few threads here and I am still royally confused.
Playing with an optic at the mo and my Light meter just faffing around with my LED on my Android phone.
I'd like to 1st work back a distance calculation i.e. Lux to Lux @ distance but I'd like to understand how that translates to candlepower also.
So to start... I get my phone Led to just hit max limit on the meter at 400KLux @ 4 meters distance so...
how do I convert that to Lux @ 1 Meter does beam width have to be factored in
If it helps diameter of beam @ 4 Meters is roughly 7 inch / 17-18cm
Thx in advance
/Paul.
//edit ** Before somebody picks up on it ... yes meter was on wrong setting but what I am after understanding knowing remains the same.
