LUX METER Recommendation

New to the forum and new to flashlights in general. Have bought some flashlights since joining and would like to check their lumen output. I assume that there is such a thing as a lux meter? If so, is there a standardized methodology to follow when measuring lumens? Can you recommend a good but inexpensive meter to start with. Thanks for the advice.

Can't give any recommendations on lux meters, but unfortunately there's no set conversion from lux to lumens. Lux is a measure of intensity at one point, while lumens is the total output. To measure lumens you need an integrating sphere, and IIRC, those aren't cheap.

Try here, here, and here. I use an Extech 403125, very similar if not the same as a Meterman LM61 (I might be wrong about the number of the LM).
